About Me

Hello!

My name is Tracy Collamore and I am an Associate Faculty member at Post University; I teach studio art classes on-campus and art history online during the summer MODs.   Over the years, I have taught at every age level, preschool through college, and I have discovered that college-level teaching is my passion.  This will be my second Master’s degree, I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Studio Art.  My goal is to earn an Ed.D in Education after completing my M.Ed and build a future career in Higher Education and the Arts.

I am also an artist and exhibit my paintings regularly.  I have two gallery solo exhibitions, one in CT last month and another in NYC in September.  I love to travel when I can, especially when I can experience a new culture, visit historical sites, and see important artwork in museums.  I often visit NYC since it is close by (1 1/2 hour drive) to visit art galleries and museums.  My favorite is the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

When I don’t have the time to travel, I read.  I love to read art books, anything related to the history of art or biographies of my favorite artists.  I also read novels when I want to relax and get caught up in a great story.  I have three children (ages 18, 17, 14) and a German Shepherd (10 months old).  She gets me out of the house for walks and playtime outdoors.  I like to keep busy, and I’m a lifelong student, always looking for ways to grow and learn by any means necessary.
